Certification

The American Credit Counselors Certification™ online course is available 24/7. This certification is simple, easy, affordable and user-friendly. The course and one attempt at the Final Exam is only $239. The course itself is not timed, so you can take as much time as you would like to study and re-review the material. You will be able to login and logout anytime and our system will remember where you left off. You can re-review the information for the duration of the course. During each chapter we provide you with engaging information that will make it very easy for you to understand the material.

Once you complete the credit counselor course you will be able to take your test to get certified. The Final Exam consists of 100 multiple choice questions. The Final Exam must be passed with a 70% or higher (you must answer at least 70 questions correctly). You will have 2 hours to finish the Final Exam. Please be sure that you allow yourself enough time to finish and that you are in an environment that will give you undivided attention to focus on the exam. Once you start the timer will start your 2 hour count down. Your score will be provided immediately after the completion of the exam. Upon passing grade, you will also be able to print and save your Certificate as a Credit Counselor. If you do not pass the Final Exam you may retake the exam again and pay the re-take fee of $175.

The class is good for a two year certification (unless in states where continuing education are required prior to the two years - please contact us for info on requirements). After the two years, you will need to retake the course and pass the exam to become re-certified. If you are working for a company that offers Credit Counseling and Debt Management they may want you to take the course/certification at a specific time, please check with your employer for additional certification deadlines.
