- How long is the class?
The class is not timed. You may take as much or as little time in the course. However, when you start your Final Exam you will be given a max amount of two hours to finish.
- Will I have to finish the class in one sitting?
No. You will be able to login and logout anytime. The system will remember were you left off, and when you log back in you will be taken right back to where you left off. Also you will be able to back to previous chapters you have finished and re-review them if you want.
- Does the class meet the requirements in order for me to become a Certified Credit Counselor?
The American Credit Counselors Certification™ course is designed to provide you with all the needed information for you to build a good foundation in the Credit Counseling and Debt Management Industry. Upon completion and passing grade of this course, you will be issued your certificate as a Certified Credit Counselor from the American Credit Counselors Certification, Inc.
- What do I have to do to become a Certified Credit Counselor?
First you need to register, pay for the class and start your course. Once you have finished the online course, you will need to take and pass your Final Exam with a 70% or higher score.
- How much is the course?
The course is $239.
- How do I get re-certified?
To get re-certified you will need to register, pay, take the course and pass the Final Exam.
- What happens if I don't pass the test the first time around?
If you don't pass the test the first time around you will need to pay for a re-take fee of $175 and retake the Final Exam. Please be sure you study the material and feel comfortable about the topics of each chapter before attempting to retake the Final Exam.
- How do I pay for the retake test fee?
When you log back in you will see an option to retake the test, click on the link and you'll be directed to the payment page where you can pay for the fee. Once the payment is made, you will be able to retake the Final Exam.

- How do I get my Certificate?
Once you have passed your Final Exam your certificate will immediately be available to print/save.
- Is the class hard if I am not experienced in the Credit Counseling Industry?
No. We designed the class for someone that had no previous knowledge of the Credit Counseling and Debt Management Industry. You will be given clear and real life example so you can best associate and learn the material.
